Calvin Coolidge Dies

In retirement, Calvin Coolidge writes His Autobiography and a newspaper column. He serves on the boards of New York Life, Clarke School for the Deaf, and the American Antiquarian Society. He admits that he no longer fits in with these times to a friend. He dies while shaving in the second floor of his home, the Beeches, in Northampton, MA. The newspaper, The New York Herald Tribune, runs an article on his death, declaring, “In a very real sense the national has lost the leader in whom it most completely trusted.”
